Note that most under 12 and under 14 competitions are graded. As such our teams are also graded with players selected based on ability. This particularly applies to "A" competitions. We have a little more flexibility with "B" and "C" competitions and aim to keep friends together where possible. As a club, we believe it is important that children play in the most appropriate competition for their ability. We want to see kids enjoying their cricket and the game is a whole lot more enjoyable when players do well. The under 16 competition hasn't been graded the past two seasons but if the CCCA has sufficient numbers for two competitions we place our teams into the appropriate grade.
-
Note that the Central Coast Cricket Association ultimately decides what format different divisions play. For example, if there are sufficient teams in the under 12's to form a "C" competition the CCCA may decide to adopt stage one rules for that competition if it feels that it is appropriate.
Grading
Following online registration, our grading days will commence.
There will be two grading days for each age group at the Kincumber Indoor Centre. Grading days will again be run by a selection committee comprising of players and officials from our senior club, with input from junior coaches. There will be one selection trial for boys youth league.
Junior Grading / Selection Trials
Our sponsors Kincumber Indoor Sport have once again graciously provided their facilities for our grading and trials. Times below are confirmed other than youth league which is presently tentative.
We will grade an under 11A team that will play in the under 12A's.
All players must be registered to attend grading. (Under 17's trialing for youth but not intending to play grade are excepted).
